Jennifer is the Clinical Operations Manager at Downtown Austin Community Court, where she oversees social services delivered to individuals experiencing homelessness. In this role, she implements best practices and provides direction to a staff of 24 Licensed Master Clinical Counselors. Her team focuses on engaging and housing individuals through person-centered, trauma-informed care.
Jennifer has been a licensed clinician since 2003 and brings over 20 years of experience across both public and private sectors working with marginalized populations. Prior to joining Downtown Austin Community Court as a Clinical Case Manager Supervisor in 2015, her experience included working with individuals managing HIV and AIDS, supervising emergency room social workers, providing therapy in private practice, and serving as Admissions Director at an inpatient psychiatric facility. Jennifer also served for more than seven years on the Board of Directors for AIDS Services of Austin, now known as Vivant. Since joining Downtown Austin Community Court, her team has tripled in size, including the launch of a new housing program funded through a grant from Austin Public Health.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor in the State of Texas, Jennifer provides required supervision to Licensed Master Social Workers pursuing clinical licensure. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Purdue University Northwest and a Master of Science in Social Work from University of Texas at Austin.
Jennifer initially served on the Advisory Council for Central Texas Table of Grace before joining the Governance Board, where she contributes her clinical expertise and systems-level perspective in support of the organization’s mission.
