Katherine Salazar is a senior talent acquisition leader with more than 15 years of experience building and scaling high-impact recruiting functions across startups, Fortune 500 companies, government entities, and highly regulated industries. She brings deep expertise in data-driven hiring strategy, technical and corporate recruiting, and talent process design, with a consistent track record of partnering closely with business leaders to support growth, transformation, and organizational change.
Katherine currently serves as a Corporate Recruiter at LegalZoom, where she leads recruiting for corporate functions, with a focus on scaling Product and Marketing teams during a period of rapid growth. She is the primary recruiting partner for the Brand, Social, and Creative Marketing organization, driving high-impact hiring across key go-to-market functions. Prior to LegalZoom, Katherine held senior talent acquisition leadership roles across financial services, technology, media, and consulting. As Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at American AgCredit, she served as the sole TA partner supporting approximately 1,000 employees and played a critical role during the merger of Farm Credit of New Mexico and American AgCredit.
Earlier in her career, Katherine built and led recruiting functions for high-growth organizations and globally recognized institutions. She served as Director of Talent Acquisition at Unchained Capital, scaling the company from 30 to more than 100 employees globally following its Series B funding. She has also supported complex hiring initiatives at organizations including McKinsey & Company, Bloomberg Government, and NPR, partnering with leaders across editorial, technology, and professional services teams to hire specialized, mission-driven talent. Her background also includes recruiting for federal agencies, SaaS companies, and healthcare organizations through senior recruiting and consulting roles.
Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The George Washington University and is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Business Management from Colorado State University. She continues to expand her expertise in AI-enabled recruiting tools and strategies, focusing on leveraging emerging technologies to improve hiring outcomes, operational efficiency, and candidate experience.
