Kristy Ruiz

Kristy is a senior healthcare consultant with over 20 years of clinical and leadership experience, with a professional focus on emergency and trauma services. She currently serves as a Senior Advisor with Optimal Healthcare Advisors, where she supports healthcare organizations in improving operational performance and enhancing the patient experience.

Kristy grew up in Austin and has been married to her husband, a paramedic, for over 20 years. Together, they have two teenagers, a daughter and a son. Early in her career, Kristy worked with high-risk youth aging out of the foster care system as a camp nurse with Texas Network of Youth Services. This experience shaped her long-standing commitment to supporting this population. Kristy also served for four years on the Hays County EMS Board, where she held the position of Secretary.

Kristy initially served on the Advisory Council for Central Texas Table of Grace and now serves on the Governance Board as Secretary, continuing her commitment to the organization’s mission through leadership and service.
