Kristy Ruiz

Board Member

Kristy grew up in Austin and has been married to her paramedic husband for over 20 years. They have two teenagers, a daughter and a son. Professionally, Kristy is a Senior Consultant for Peregrine Health Services, a consulting practice that helps providers improve operational performance, and enhance the patient experience. Kristy has over 20 years of clinical and leadership experience with a focus on emergency and trauma services.

Early in her career, Kristy worked with high risk youth aging out of the foster care system as a camp nurse for Texas Network of Youth Services (TNOYS). This experience opened her eyes and heart to this population and has been a passion of hers ever since. Kristy also served on the Hays County EMS Board for 4-years, having held the position of Secretary. Kristy initially served as an Advisory Board member for Central Texas Table of Grace.
