Lailah Shorter

Lailah is a financial services investor at TA, a growth private equity firm with offices in Austin, Boston, Menlo Park, Hong Kong, London, and Mumbai. Prior to TA, Lailah worked in mergers and acquisitions investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Lailah has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brown University. She grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey, and moved to Austin from NYC in 2022.

Lailah is the co-president of the Texas Chapter of Highwind Impact Fund, an alumnus of SEO’s Alternative Investments Fellowship Program and mentor, as well as a founding member of BLK Capital Management. On the weekends, you can find Lailah walking to a local coffee shop to read a book, working out at Studio Three, or scuba diving (new hobby!).
