Janice Burton
Development Director

Janice Burton is an energetic and experienced nonprofit professional who brings more than 30 years of service across administration, programs, and development. She believes that development work is more about building authentic relationships than raising dollars and is passionate about connecting with people who share a heart for our mission.

As Development Director, Janice leads and grows Central Texas Table of Grace’s annual fundraising efforts through donor cultivation, stewardship, and the implementation of sustainable strategies that support our mission to provide safe and nurturing spaces for displaced children.

Janice began her career in accounting but found her calling in community engagement while serving as Family Life Coordinator at Gracewood Houston. There, she discovered the powerful link between mission-driven storytelling and fundraising, which led to her role as Development Officer. She expanded their ambassador program by 50%, strengthened the donor pipeline through advisory board leadership, and contributed to a capital campaign for aftercare housing.

Her career also includes time at the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, where she managed grants and donor-advised funds with meticulous attention to compliance and audit standards. Most recently, she served as Director of Philanthropy for STARRY, helping to grow sustainable funding and strengthen community visibility.

Janice holds a Certified Development Director credential and is active in the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She regularly attends local networking events and serves on the advisory board of a nonprofit supporting single mothers.

A native of Tennessee now based in Georgetown, Janice is active in her church’s women’s ministry and choir. She is a published author and public speaker, known for her book “DO I?”, a marriage planning resource. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, podcasting, traveling, and fine dining. Her greatest joy is her son, Michael, who lives in Atlanta.
