Kate Tolliver knows that behind every nonprofit success story are real people working late into the night, juggling impossible to-do lists, and wondering if they’re making a difference. As Chief Strategy Officer at Central Texas Table of Grace, she partners with the team to build the kind of systems that actually work—the ones that help them focus on what matters most: serving families with dignity and grace.
Kate’s been in the nonprofit arena for over 30 years, and she gets it. She started in the legal field, but her heart was always drawn to helping people. Her role as Shelter Director at Hope Alliance Crisis Center sparked a deeper understanding of her mission, as she managed a 24-hour emergency shelter for women and children. This transformative experience reinforced her commitment to creating safe spaces and effective support systems for families in crisis.
Most recently, Kate served as Principal Advisor, Operations and Nonprofit Management at FBC | Generosity Experts, where she consulted with organizations engaging in major fundraising efforts with a focus on governance and operations. Prior to that, she managed programs at Nonprofit Austin through Austin Community College, where she designed workshops, coached nonprofit leaders, and helped launch new certificate programs. She takes particular pride in creating accessible training opportunities that help nonprofit professionals build their skills and confidence. Her work in program development and leadership coaching has equipped her with valuable insights into organizational growth and sustainability.
Kate holds numerous certifications, including her Advanced Certified Nonprofit Professional (ACNP) designation, and specializes in making complex operations simple and sustainable. She has a talent for creating clear communication strategies and effective systems that help organizations thrive while maintaining their focus on mission-driven work.
Kate is passionate about building systems that help nonprofit teams thrive and flourish. She understands that when organizations have the right tools and processes in place, it creates space for the meaningful work that changes lives in Central Texas and beyond.
Kate is a Round Rock resident who recently completed board service with the Zilker Botanical Garden Conservancy, reflecting her ongoing commitment to the local nonprofit community. When she’s not working to strengthen organizations, Kate enjoys analyzing baseball statistics—she’s particularly passionate about sabermetrics—and cheering for women’s college basketball and volleyball teams.
