We are excited to have you join our mission to positively impact the lives of children and young adults in foster care. Our volunteers are essential to providing support and creating meaningful experiences for those we serve. Below are the types of volunteer opportunities available.
Types of Volunteer Roles at Central Texas Table of Grace
Normalcy/Holiday Volunteer
Description: Volunteers who participate in special activities, events, or holiday celebrations, engaging with children but are never left alone with them and do not have access to confidential information. These volunteers visit once a month or less. This role requires no background check.
Shelter Superstars
Description: Volunteers who regularly assist two or more times a month at the shelter or a location where minor clients are doing activities. These volunteers remain in line of sight of staff and must complete several requirements, including:
- Orientation of CTTG
- Complete DFPS form 2912 Affidavit
- Fill out the Volunteer Application
- Provide a negative TB test result from the past twelve months
- Send a copy of your driver’s license
- Send a copy of your auto insurance
- Complete the Trauma Informed Care Training
- Send a PDF of the completed training with your name on it (see below for example)
- Fill out and sign the Reporting Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation document
- Fill out and sign the Volunteer Confidentiality document
- Email all forms and documents mentioned above to leeann@ctxtableofgrace.org
CTTG Non-Client Volunteer or Mentor for SIL Grace 365 (Clients are 18 or older)
Description: Volunteers who assist with administrative tasks or remote projects. Mentors who support young adults in our Supervised Independent Living program. Although there are no DFPS requirements for this type of volunteer, we have a CTTG policy to ensure all adults we bring into our organization have a cleared background check.
- Orientation of CTTG
- Complete DFPS form 2912 Affidavit
- Fill out the Volunteer Application
- Send a PDF of the completed training with your name on it (see below for example)
- Fill out and sign the Reporting Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation document
- Fill out and sign the Volunteer Confidentiality document
- Email all forms and documents mentioned above to leeann@ctxtableofgrace.org
In-Ratio Volunteer
Description: Volunteers who complete staff duties that do not fall under normalcy, working directly with children and may be left alone with them, providing direct care, supervision, and engagement. This role requires the completion of all caregiver training, classes, and requirements as per DFPS and Contracts. These volunteers commit to staying compliant with trainings, just like our staff, on an annual basis. Please send an email to leeann@ctxtableofgrace.org if you hope to assist with transportation to appointments or one on one time with our youth. She will guide you through the process.

Complete the Required Training
After you have completed the forms above and emailed us, please proceed to the required training below. This training is with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), and the expected duration is about 2-hours. Once you complete the training successfully, please save the confirmation (one of the two examples below) and email to info@ctxtableofgrace.org, or you can send to our mailing address: P.O.
