What Stacy Johnson Shares in This Podcast

Stacy emancipated from foster care at age 16. At that point, she had no family, no safety net, and no one waiting for her. Before that, she moved through nine homes starting at the age of two. In this episode, she talks about how those experiences shaped everything she does today.

She also shares the small but significant losses that add up over time. For example, missing childhood photos and never having someone show up consistently. Together, these details paint a clear picture of what instability really looks like for a young person.

What CTTG Is Doing About It

Ultimately, those experiences led Stacy to build Central Texas Table of Grace. Today, CTTG runs two core programs. The first provides short-term residential care for youth ages 5 to 17. In addition, Grace365 supports young adults ages 18 to 21 through supervised independent living.

During the conversation, Stacy explains what real support looks like versus help that just feels good. She also talks about why stability matters more than perfection when caring for young people who have experienced trauma.

Why This Stacy Johnson Podcast Matters

Every year, thousands of foster youth in Texas age out of the system. As a result, many leave without a permanent family or a clear path forward. Because of this, CTTG works to fill that gap by giving foster youth the tools to build independent futures.

Overall, this Stacy Johnson podcast appearance shows how one person’s story can spark lasting change in a community.
