Pat has been working with kids and families in the Texas child welfare arena for over 45+ years. He has worked in settings from psychiatric hospital care to being a foster parent. He has been a long-time educator, trainer, facilitator, and consultant. Patrick has spent almost equal time in those 45+ years in facility based; RTC, GRO, Emergency Shelter, group home settings to Executive Director of a large Child Placing/Adoption agency with over 160 foster/adoptive homes and close to 400 kids in care in Texas and North Carolina. In that span he has worked with children and youth labeled “basic” to “specialized, intense, intense + to special needs contract.” Patrick has always been an advocate serving on local, state; and national boards, work groups, task forces and has presented/testified at numerous conferences, summits, and legislative hearings. Patrick continues to advocate for children, youth, and families, giving them a voice, promoting prevention, normalcy, trauma informed care, training, retention, and foster care transformation, while fighting for equity and justice. In his previous role, Patrick was the Administrator at Table of Grace Emergency Shelter for five years. Patrick now helps train our staff to ensure excellent care!
